Lucid Games was founded in 2011 by former employees of Bizarre Creations, the former Activision-owned studio known for the Project Gotham Racing games, The Club, and Blur. VGC’s report indicates a free-to-play model for the new Twisted Metal, which has not been officially announced by Sony Interactive Entertainment, but was previously rumored to be in the works. It would be the first new Twisted Metal game in a decade - an attempt to reboot the series, under the name Twisted Metal, was released in 2012 on PlayStation 3. A new Twisted Metal game is in early development at Destruction AllStars developer Lucid Games, according to a report from VGC.
